PHARMACEUTICAL LABORATORIES

The college has well furnished laboratories for day to day experiments and research activities.

PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY LABS:

These are equipped with Electronic Balances, Analytical Balances, Hot Air Oven, Distillation Units, Vacuum Pumps, pH meters, Conductivity meters, Digital Auto Melting Point Apparatus, Centrifuge, Polarimeter and Abbe’s Refractometer.

PHARMACOLOGY LABS:

The Pharmacology laboratory is well equipped with sophisticated equipments like Student organ bath assemblies and Rotating drums to carryout in vitro experiments. The laboratory also possesses specifically designed instruments like Rotarod, Actophotometer, Electro-convulsometer, Plethysmograph, Cook’s Pole Climbing apparatus for all types of pharmacological screenings and evaluations. The college has an attached separate animal house approved by CPCSE. Computer based simulations and softwares are also made available to the students. For studying human Anatomy and Physiology the Laboratory is also equipped with binocular microscopes, Sphygmomanometer & stethoscopes, Hemocytometer etc. It also has a large collection of Anatomical charts, Models and Specimens.

PHARMACEUTICS LABS:

Pharmaceutics labs are well furnished with Six Station Dissolution Apparatus, Roche Friabilator, Disintegration Test Apparatuses, Monsanto Hardness Apparatus, Autoclaves, Capsule Filling Machine, Tablet Punching Machine.

MICROBIOLOGY LAB:

It has Autoclaves, BOD, Digital Colony Counters, Laminar air flow and various other Instruments.

PHARMACOGNOSY LABS:

They have equipments like heating water bath, laminar air flow, projection microscope, compound microscopes, optical microscope, muffle furnace, distillation units and Soxhlet units etc.

INSTRUMENT LAB:

The instrument room is equipped with HPLC, UV visible spectrophotometer, Photofluorometer, Gel-electrophoresis, Nephelo turbiditymeter, Phase contrast microscope, Digital balances, Brook field viscometer, Sonicator, Digital colorimeter and Flame photometer to carry out qualitative and quantitative estimation of drugs and biological samples.

COMPUTER LAB:

It is well furnished with HCL branded PCs with Internet connectivity. The lab is well equipped with all the software prescribed by MTU.

HERBAL GARDEN:

The herbal garden has more than seventy species of herbs, having medicinal value. The students can enhance their knowledge about the traditional system of medicine by studying the medicinal uses of these herbal plants. In our herbal garden plants like aloe, ashoka, tulsi, bahera, arjuna, shankpushpi, mentha etc. are planted.

PHARMACEUTICAL LIBRARY

The Institute’s Library is air-conditioned, digital and fully computerized. It has a unique collection of 4512 Volumes and 372 carefully selected books and 16 journals. Library is air-conditioned and well equipped with latest reading, research and reference material in print, electronic and audio/visual format. It is provided with internet facility.
